Trump calls again for Fed Powell to resign, says he's been "very bad for the country"

U.S. President Donald Trump once again criticized Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell for delaying further interest rate cuts. In an interview with reporters before boarding the presidential plane, Trump stated that Powell should resign and that his departure before the end of his term "would be a great thing."
The Republican referred to the central banker as "Too Late," alluding to the Fed's insistence on keeping its benchmark interest rate unchanged. "He's been very bad for the country," he said.
Trump also claimed "tremendous success" in the US strike on Iran's nuclear facilities late last month.
The US president also said he was "very disappointed" with Russian President Vladimir Putin for intensifying the offensive in Ukraine. The White House chief also promised to send MIM-104 Patriot air defense missiles to the Ukrainians, although he did not provide further details. "We will send very sophisticated equipment, and they will pay 100% for everything," he noted.
